Un nouveau concert se prépare pour toucher les joueurs de Fortnite. Epic Games a présenté une nouvelle bande-annonce pour cet événement spécial dans son populaire battle royale, confirmant que rien de moins que la talentueuse chanteuse Ariana Grande sera présentée comme la figure centrale de ce concert virtuel dans le monde du jeu.
La participation d’Ariana Grande à Fortnite se déroulera à travers cinq concerts spéciaux qui auront lieu entre le 6 et le 8 août dans le cadre du « Rift Tour », un événement spécial dans lequel Epic Games a préparé une série de missions spéciales qui débloqueront de nouveaux prix thématiques.
Fortnite a révélé une nouvelle bande-annonce spéciale qui anticipe non seulement l’atmosphère que les joueurs trouveront lors de l’événement, mais a également révélé un premier aperçu de l’apparence de la tenue spéciale d’Ariana Grande et du sac à dos spécial « Piggy Smallz », inspiré de l’animal de compagnie du chanteur porc. Ces compléments cosmétiques seront disponibles dans la boutique en jeu à partir du 4 août.
A travers son site officiel, Epic Games rappelle aux utilisateurs de Fortnite la recommandation d’entrer dans le jeu environ une heure avant de commencer chacun des concerts d’Ariana Grande afin de garantir une meilleure connexion avec le serveur avant le début de l’événement, dont la playlist sera préchargée 30 minutes avant le départ.
« Fortnite est un lieu pour l’imagination et l’impossible »,a déclaré Phil Rampulle, responsable de la marque chez Epic Games, dans le cadre de l’annonce officielle de l’événement. Avec Rift Tour, nous donnons vie à un voyage musical afin que les joueurs puissent expérimenter, ressentir et créer des liens avec leurs amis.
L’arrivée d’Ariana Grande dans le monde de Fortnite ne représente pas la première participation d’une grande star de la musique au jeu. Epic Games a déjà réussi à s’associer à Travis Scott, J Balvin et Dominio Fike, réussissant à battre les records de joueurs connectés et avec des bénéfices dépassant les 20 millions de dollars dans la vente d’objets et de skins numériques, ainsi que de véritables objets de collection.
